First Stakeholder Workshop
12th of April, 2017 in Prague (ANS CR)

The first Stakeholder Workshop (Invitation) is scheduled for the 12th of April 2017 and will cover the following Topics:

  • Demonstration of the already available project outcomes, stakeholders´ discussion of next steps.
  • The goal is to provide a cheap, efficient and reliable process for a successful deployment of Assistance Based Speech Recognition systems for ATC tasks, from the laboratory to the real world.
  • The workshop is designed for air navigation service providers, experts from data science, machine learning, speech processing and recognition, and industry partners.

Intermediate Review Meeting
  13th April 2017 in Prague

The main purpose of this meeting is to review the work of year one, to prepare year 2 with emphasis on the preparation of further dissemination. This meeting is one day after the 1st Stakeholder workshop.


Feedback sessions with Prague-controllers
23rd and 24th of January, 2018 in Prague (ANS CR)

During the meeting the controllers will be integrated into the feedback process. We present to them their own speech recordings together with the corresponding radar data. The controller will listen to the communication and will evaluate ABSR performance. In parallel the speech recordings will also be manually transcribed, so that objective recognition accuracy will be available.

29th and 30th of January, 2018 in Vienna (Austro Control)

Second Stakeholder Workshop
 20th and 21st of February, 2018 in Vienna (Austro Control)

The second and final Stakeholder Workshop of MALORCA (Invitation) is scheduled for the 20th and 21st of February 2018 and will cover the following Topics:

  • Presentation of the final project outcomes
  • Live Proof of Concept Demonstration on ATC Operational Data
  • Discussions in  Working Groups

In the area a lot of construction work is going on. So please have a look at the detour plan  to reach the entrance of the ATCCV. You will best reach the ATCCV with Underground U3 or Tramway 18. Please follow first the red arrows to reach “Schnirchgasse” and then the black arrows around the “ATCCV” to reach the security entrance. For entrance you will need either a passport or ID-card. Meetingroom is on the 4th Floor (Top Floor).

World ATM Congress 2018
8th of March, 2018 in Madrid (World ATM Congress)

The MALORCA project was presented at the World ATM Congress 2018 in Madrid 2018-03-08 in the workshop “Data driven ATM: Going Digital!” (MALORCA Presentation)

The workshop objective was to describe the state of the art, identify the areas of interest and the key technologies that will be needed in the future, regarding the use of Big Data techniques in the Air Traffic Management area.

Besides MALORCA three projects sponsored by the SESAR Exploratory Research programme presented their results:


Project Close-out & Review Meeting
27th of March, 2018 in Brussels

The Project Close-out and the collocated Review meeting (March 2018) will be organized by and at the SJU following the submission and approval of all contractual deliverables, including the Final Project Results Report. The objective of the Project Closure Meeting is to determine if MALORCA achieved its objectives and to close its contractual obligations.
