MALORCA project nominated for 2019 Jane’s ATC Awards

The MALORCA project was nominated for 2019 Jane’s ATC Awards sponsored by Raytheon. The final ceremony took place on the 12th of March in the Delegate Theatre during the World ATM Congress in Madrid (https://ihsmarkit.com/research-analysis/unveiling-the-shortlist-for-the-2019-atc-awards.html).

The 2019 Jane’s ATC Awards attracted entries from around the world and highlighted projects to improve airspace capacity, efficiency, safety and environmental sustainability. MALORCA was nominated in the category for concepts and solutions which raise performance. Finally he COTCA project (Coordinated Capacity Ordering and Trajectory Pricing for Better-Performing ATM) was awarded as the winner in the category by a panel of judges from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), Eurocontrol, the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers’ Association (IFATCA), Jane’s and the SESAR Deployment Manager.
